This policy describes the PG Wind Coach iPhone app for sailing-coach training videos, start photographs and telemetry overlays. It uses existing PG Wind accounts and does not create accounts or offer in-app purchases.

Camera, microphone and Photos

Camera permission enables video and start photographs. Microphone permission adds sound; if declined, recording can continue without sound. Photos add-only permission copies completed media to Photos. These permissions can be changed in iPhone Settings.

Information on your device

The app stores settings, selected athletes, recordings, photos, telemetry snapshots and an export queue in its own storage. Telemetry can include athlete names, GPS positions, speed, course, wind, heel, start information and heart-rate data supplied by participating PG Wind devices. The app does not upload your recordings. Photos and device backups may sync through Apple services according to your iCloud settings.

Optional cloud connection

When you connect, your existing PG Wind login and connection information are sent over system-validated encrypted TLS to the PG Wind messaging service hosted by HiveMQ Cloud. The service authenticates the account and delivers live telemetry. The app receives telemetry for the selected class and group. Saved credentials use iOS Keychain. Disconnect stops the live connection; reconnecting on launch is enabled only for a previously enabled account. Clearly labelled simulation is available without signing in.

Use and sharing

Information is used for sailing training, live displays and your recordings. This app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not track users across apps. HiveMQ Cloud processes connection information for the PG Wind live service; Apple processes media you choose to save or sync using its services. If you share a recording, the recipient can see its video, audio and burned-in telemetry. Obtain appropriate permission from participants before recording or sharing their information.

Retention, deletion and choices

Local recordings and settings remain until removed from the device. Removing the app removes its local storage. Copies in Photos must be removed separately in Photos; Apple backups follow your Apple settings. iOS Keychain credentials may survive app removal. Revoke camera, microphone or Photos permissions in iPhone Settings, or stop live data using Disconnect in Cloud and Coach.

The Coach app does not control source logs retained on athlete phones or coach tablets; manage those copies on the corresponding devices.

Local system information

The app reads its own preferences and recording-file timestamps, checks free storage before capture, and uses monotonic timers to synchronize capture and telemetry. These system measurements are not sent to the PG Wind service or used for advertising or fingerprinting.
